Be It Remembered, That on the twenty-seventh day of May, in the thirty-seventh year of the independence of the United States of America, A. D. 1813, James Martin, of the said District, hath deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof he claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit:
'Dissertation on the Prophecies, which have been remarkably fulfilled, and at this time are fulfilling in the world. By Thomas Newton, D. D. late Lord Bishop of Bristol. To which are added, a number of original Notes, and a Supplement, containing Extracts from the writings of Owen, Usher, Brown, Knox, Gill, More, c. A new edition, in which the Greek, Latin, and other Quotations are translated into English. In three volumes. Vol. I.'
In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, entituled, 'An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the Copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such Copies, during the times therein mentioned.' And also lo the Act, entitled, 'An Act supplementary to An Act, entitled, 'An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the Copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such Copies during the times therein mentioned,' and extending the benefits thereof to the Arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints.'
